Upcoming X-Pulse 400
We are all familiar with the Hero name in the motorcycle industry. Hero has garnered a very reputable name among its contemporaries in the market with constant refinefinement of their products that have stood the test of time and have become a testament for future products. Similarly, Hero plans to introduce their new adventure bike improving on the offering of their smaller X-Pulse cc series. The new X-Pulse 400 cc is revving up to be released in the Indian market before 2025.
After taking the market for mid-range adventure bikes with the Hero X-pulse 200, they plan to launch a new Hero X-pulse 400 with a combined engine of 450cc. Even Though the full details about the bike are yet to be released, it is becoming one of the most awaited bikes among 2-wheelers.
What's New?
New Design
Going toward its design, the Hero X-pulse 400 is expected to have a heavy body shape design. This ADV is expected to be built around a trellis frame.
Engine and Performance
The overall engine and performance are expected to be similar to the Maverick 440. The bike is combined with the 6-speed gearbox enhancing to provide comfort in any terrain. Also, it is powered up with a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 450cc FI engine providing power around 35-40 bhp, and a lot of focus would go on its excellent low and mid-range torque.
Suspension and Wheels
Regarding equipment, the X-Pulse 400 could get upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back with preload adjustment. The bike will get a 21-inch wheel at the front. However, it will mostly get tube-type tires.
Breaking and Features
The all-new Hero X-pulse 400 is expected to have disc brakes at both ends with dual channel ABS, spoke wheels, an up-swept exhaust, an LED headlight design similar to the X-pulse 200, and more. The bike is expected to be featured with ADV tech as its design and performance are focused toward an adventure bike giving competition to the Himalayan 450.
Fuel Efficiency
Hero is also famous for its fuel efficiency as well. The average fuel Efficiency of the bike is expected between 25kmph-35kmph. The mileage of the bike depends upon the road condition. It is said that the X-pulse 400 would provide a mileage of 25-30 kmph in the city and up to 35 mph on the highway.
Why on 400 Segments?
Segment is one of the factors that affect the overall view of the motorcycle. The more the competitor, the harder it is to take over the market. With fewer competitors, the new X-pulse 400 is enhanced to enter the 400-segment bike. The main competitor for the X-pulse 400 will be Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as both are in the same segment. With only one competitor it may be easy for the x-pulse to take over the market of the 400 segment. The X-pulse 400 is expected to be more performative and affordable than other bikes in its segment.
Launching
The actual release date of the X-pulse 400 is not yet released, but it is said to be released before 2024. As Hero is entering the new segment of 400 cc, the test is being done in different places in India. After its launch, the hero X-pulse will take Royal Enfield Himalayan as its competitor. People are expecting the bike to be an affordable ADV.
Will the X-Pulse 400 become the Next affordable adventure bike?
Even Though the bike has not been released yet, the overall aspects of the X-Pulse 400 are beyond the imagination. Now the only thing that will determine its best place in its segment is pricing. If the pricing of the bike is beyond the Himalayan 450, then there is a chance of becoming the best adventure bike in the 400 segment.
