Yamaha debuted the powerful NMax (155cc), the first FI scooter in Nepal, in 2019. The Nepali market received the NMax, a maxi scooter with FI, favorably. Yamaha brought FI technology to the 125cc scooter market after this success. With its FI engine, the Fascino 125FI became the first scooter ever made and offered improved power, performance, and mileage. Scooters used to have engine sizes between 100 and 113 cm³. The competition soon followed suit with comparable engine capacities after the introduction of the Fascino with FI in 2015 altered the rules of the game. F
Fifteen years later, the company boasts the greatest number of FI-trained technicians, over 100 FI stations, over 200,000 FI bikes, and over 200,000 motorcycles on the road. Yamaha has started this initiative to put ease to customers' plight and to build their trust and dependability for the FI technology that is gradually taking over the the motorcycle industry.
It's interesting to note that Yamaha bikes assembled in Nepal are covered by the warranty. The 10-year warranty is exclusive to the Yamaha FZ v3 Standard and FZS v3 Deluxe’s FI components that are locally assembled in Nepal. Any FI bike's primary operating component is the fuel injection system. Although it has many benefits over a carburetor engine, people are afraid of it because of its complexity and high repair costs, Keeping this in mind and answering the consumer's concerns, Yamaha Nepal provides an extended warranty on the FI components on the locally assembled bikes as a sign of their commitment to quality and client satisfaction, relieving worries and providing peace of mind.
Yamaha had been gracious enough to provide us with the details of the “Warranty Conditions†applicable for the Yamaha FZ v3 Standard and Yamaha FZS v3 Deluxe motorcycles. The conditions are as follows:
- Warranty shall be applicable for 10 years or 1,00,000 KM whichever comes first for the customer.
- All scheduled services should follow the Owner’s Handbook and be done at a Yamaha Authorized Service Center using genuine parts and lubricants.
- This warranty shall be applicable only for manufacturing defects & not for accidental damages.
