Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Coming Soon
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is Coming Soon!
Adventure motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide are buzzing with excitement as Royal Enfield, the iconic Indian motorcycle manufacturer, prepares to unveil its latest offering, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Building on the success of its predecessor, i.e., the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, the Himalayan 450 promises to take riders to new heights, both literally and figuratively, with its more powerful 450cc engine.
Recently, Royal Enfield unveiled an interesting new video on their Instagram account teasing the coming of the new Himalayan 450. The authorized distributor of Royal Enfield Motorcycles in Nepal, i.e., Alpha Automotive Pvt. Ltd., is looking forward to launching the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 in Nepal by the middle of next year. Even if the new Himalayan 450 bears some resemblance to its predecessor, there are quite a few changes to its new variant.
According to the leaks, this is all we have managed to gather intel on the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan-tourer. Firstly, the motorcycle will be equipped with a brand new 450cc engine that is set to produce a maximum power of 40 bhp and 45 Nm of torque( these are not the actual numbers as the exact figures are yet to be confirmed by the company). The engine that would be fitted in the new Himalayan 450 will be more powerful in comparison to the likes of the KTM 390 Adventures and the BMW G 310 GS, which are its contemporaries on the market at the moment. That isn’t all, as the motorcycle will also have a 6-speed transmission, replacing the existing 5-speed unit. The new Himalayan Tourer will be equipped with USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear.
The changes aren't limited to the engine and suspension of the motorcycle. The Himalayan 450 is expected to get some changes in correlation to the design, including LED headlight, headlamp cowl, windshield, front beak, fuel tank, and side panels. Also, the Himalayan 450 is equipped with a stubbier exhaust, as seen in the teaser. The changes don’t end there; it is also set to get a larger 20-liter fuel tank. The braking system will also see some changes, as it will have disc brakes at both ends, integrated with dual-channel ABS as standard. It also comes with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Other things like font and rear luggage racks, step-up split seats, and rear tail sections will remain the same.
Now the main question is when will it be launched in Nepal? The international launch date for this motorcycle is November 7, 2023. But here in Nepal, it might get launched mid-next year. The price of the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to be around 11-12 lakhs. The Himalayan 450 will be competing against the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero 450 Adventure in Nepal. There are also rumors circulating about the launch of the Royal Enfield Scram 411 in Nepal.
Riders who crave the thrill of exploration, whether it's conquering steep mountains or traversing endless highways, have a lot to look forward to with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. With Royal Enfield's commitment to quality and adventure, this motorcycle is likely to find its way into the hearts of adventure enthusiasts around the world.
