Zontes ZT 125 U-1 and Zontes ZT 350T To Showcase In NADA Autoshow 2023

On August 5, 2023, Iron Monk, the authorized distributor of Zontes bikes in Nepal, debuted its first adventure sports bike during the Bikes and Coffee event at the National Business Trade Center in Kalanki. In Zonte's current lineup, the Zontes 310 T is the second bike to be revealed and available in the Nepali Market.

And now Zontes Bikes in Nepal are planning to launch two other new offering for the NADA Autoshow 2023 happening from Sep 12 - Sep 17 at Bhrikutimandap. The 2 new variants of Zontes are Zontes ZT 125-U1 and Zontes ZT 350-T. The estimated introductory price of the Zontes ZT 125-U1 is Rs. 4,39,900 and the Zontes ZT 350T is Rs. 10,49,900.

In this article, we will be discussing the price, specs, and features of the Zontes ZT 125-U1 and Zontes ZT 350-T.

Zontes ZT 125-U1 Overview

Design

Zontes ZT 125-U1 is very similar to the recently available ZT 150 in its adventure sport styling and design. It finds itself wedged between a perfect balance of being a naked sport and an adventure sport, ultimately creating a unique crossover motorcycle. But then again it features a smaller 125cc with a more aggressive-styled adventure motard. The bike receives a sharp finish with side cuts and edges. 

The front section of the bike comes equipped with extended mudguards, wide handlebars, hand and crash guards, a steel cradle frame, and a low windscreen. The bike sports a compact LED projector setup, integrated twin LED DLRs, and LED indicators which provide superb visibility at all times. The motorbike also flexes an adjustable split seat layout for carrying loads. The crossover DNA is further accentuated by the side profile. The muscular fuel tank and stainless steel exhaust system have an agile side as well. Furthermore, the spoke wheels are equipped to traverse any kind of terrain with an All-Terrain Tyres. This highlights the more practical side of the bike as well. Another nifty feature that the Zontes ZT 125-U1 has is the easily removable pillion seat with a stylish luggage box.

Performance 

The Zontes ZT 125 U1 is powered by a 124.7 cc, 4-Valve, Water-cooled Bosch EFI Engine. It has a maximum power of 14.48 PS at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 13 Nm at 7000 rpm. It is also paired with a 6-speed transmission and a 12.5-liter fuel tank capacity. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike provides an impressive mileage of approximately 40 to 45 km/l. The bike also has two modes of riding for better performance and they are Eco and Sport Riding Modes.

For a seamless and optimized performance & economy, it uses the latest ECU from Bosch for fuel injection management. Zontes ZT 125-U1 features an aluminum alloy cylinder, a galvanized fuel tank, an aluminum alloy swing arm, a slipper clutch, and a large radiator to boost its performance and longevity. 

Suspension, Brakes, And Tyres

Zontes ZT 125-U1’s suspension is taken care of by a USD fork and center mount mono shock; which provides a comfortable and pleasant ride even in rough terrain. The bike also comes equipped with dual disc brakes featuring Bosch Dual Channel ABS for enhanced safety and braking performance. Zontes ZT 125-U1 has a front tyre 110/70-17 and 130/70-17 at the rear. 

The dimensions of this bike are 2000mm in length, 865 mm in width, and 1120 mm in height. The wheelbase sits at 1370 mm. The ground clearance of this variant of Zontes bike is 160 mm and the weight is 150 kg.

Zontes ZT 350T Overview

Introducing the most expensive Zontes bike in Nepal i.e. Zontes ZT 350T. This is a true adventure motorbike, offering its signature look and loaded features in an adventure body. This variant of the Zontes ZT 350T is quite similar to the currently available Zontes 310T. But there are distinguishing factors such as a bigger engine with a better braking setup, a larger profile, spoke rims, and more. This has only been speculated at the moment, we will have to wait until the official launch at the upcoming NADA Auto Show to find the differences. It will launch alongside the Zontes ZT 125-U1. 

Design 

The Zontes ZT 350T is designed in a way to appear as a super adventure bike. The Zontes ZT 350T has a muscular and cutting-edge design. From the front and rear, the bike appears to be rather large. It features an exciting design in front. The large tyres add to the bike's appearance. This bike has a two-barrel exhaust system that looks just stunning. This motorcycle is outfitted with an electronically adjustable windscreen, projector LED headlights and side lights.

In terms of appearance and style, the bike appears to be quite fresh, modern, and trendy. Although this multi-cladding design is similar to that of Zontes ZT 310T, nevertheless it brings a sense of familiarity to it. Other notable highlights include a Rear Fender Bracket, Anti-Scald Exhaust Pipe, Dual Purpose Tyres, and more. The complexity of the design is more visible from the side as it also includes a bumper for protection and a comfortable leather seat for all-condition travel.

Performance

The 348cc, Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, Bosch EFI Engine powers the Zontes ZT 350T. This engine has a maximum power of 38.80 PS @ 9500 rpm and a maximum torque of 32.80 Nm @ 7500 rpm. It also has a 6-speed gearbox with a 19-liter fuel tank capacity. This bike has Dual Channel ABS, which improves safety. This bike also has a TFT display, a tire pressure monitoring system, a high compression ratio, spoked wheels, and many more characteristics that we shall discuss later. 

The Zontes ZT 350T has a bigger cc engine, generating 3.45 PS more power and 2.8 Nm more torque. On top of that the air filter is 30% larger than the one present in the Zontes ZT 310T. Aside from that, the engine configuration remains the same, particularly with its Bosch EFI system, 12.3:1 high compression ratio, High Power Magneto, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. This makes the bike feel refined while cruising on the highways or while off-road. 

Suspension, And Brakes

Zontes ZT 350T comes equipped with a 43mm USD suspension setup and a monoshock handle suspension, which makes the ride feel very comfortable and stable at high speeds as well. The dimensions of the bike are 2135 mm in length, 850 mm wide, and 1420 mm height. The wheelbase sits at 1380 mm. The kerb weight is just 196 kg. It also has a ground clearance of 173 mm. The bike comes with a Dual Disc braking configuration with Dual-Channel ABS.
