Vehicle Description
The call of the untamed path demands a machine built not just for distance, but for defiance. Answering that call with renewed vigor, the Hero XPulse 210 arrives, not as a mere update, but as a significant evolution. It masterfully bridges the gap between highway composure and trail-blazing capability, forging a new standard for the dual-sport motorcycle.
Rally-Bred Stance, Purposeful Design
The XPulse 210 commands attention with a sharper, more muscular presence that builds upon its beloved, rugged DNA. It’s a familiar silhouette, now injected with a dose of rally-inspired aggression. New tri-tone liveries in Azure Blue and Alpine Silver accentuate its lines, creating a dynamic visual that hints at the performance within.
Every element is designed for adventure. The signature round Class-D LED headlamp, flanked by its distinctive H-shaped DRLs, is now guarded by a robust, protruding pull bar. This isn't just for show; it’s a functional grab point for extricating the bike from tricky situations. The tall windscreen deflects wind blast at speed, while reinforced handguards stand sentry against branches and debris. High-mounted fenders, long-travel forks protected by gaiters, and an exposed subframe scream off-road intent.
From the side, the sculpted fuel tank flows into slim shrouds, complemented by premium golden engine casings. The rally inspiration is clear in the short side panels and the long, one-piece seat designed for both comfort and active riding. Open-tooth footpegs with removable rubbers offer perfect boot grip for standing maneuvers, while the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, shod in dual-purpose tyres, are ready to conquer any surface.
A Connected Command Center: LCD or TFT
Staying informed on your journey is seamless with your choice of display. The XPulse 210 offers either a clear, functional 4.2-inch LCD or an advanced 4.2-inch full-color TFT cluster. Both provide all essential data: speed, rpm, gear position, fuel level, engine temperature, trip meters, and a clock.
The TFT variant, however, elevates the experience. With rich graphics and Bluetooth connectivity, it transforms into a hub of connectivity, delivering turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and ride data logging directly to your handlebars, keeping your eyes on the path ahead.
The Heart of an Explorer: Performance Redefined
At the core of the XPulse 210 beats a thoroughly re-engineered 210cc heart. This liquid-cooled, 4-valve, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine is a powerhouse tuned explicitly for dual-sport domination. Churning out 24.6 PS and 20.7 Nm of torque, it represents a massive 30% more power and 20% more torque over its predecessor.
But numbers only tell half the story. Hero's engineers have masterfully retuned this engine for real-world adventure. With 70% of its torque available from a low 3,000 rpm, it delivers instant, tractable grunt for crawling over rocks and climbing inclines. A revised sprocket setup (14/46T) further amplifies this low-end punch. The addition of a smooth-shifting 6-speed gearbox, assisted by a slipper clutch, allows for relaxed highway cruising, finally giving the XPulse confident open-road manners. This is an engine that thrives on both the tightest trails and the longest straights.
Ultimate Control, On and Off the Road: Complementing this potent performance is a sophisticated triple-mode switchable ABS system. Choose Road for full safety on tarmac, Off-Road to disable both wheels for maximum control on loose surfaces, and Trail mode, which disables rear ABS only for controlled slides and hard braking on dirt while maintaining front-wheel stability.
Built to Explore, Engineered to Endure
The XPulse 210 is built around a High-Tensile Semi-Double Cradle Frame, designed for optimal strength and flexibility. The suspension, with 210mm of travel at the front and a linkage-type mono-shock with 205mm at the rear, is perfectly positioned between the standard model and the hardcore Pro variant. This setup offers a sublime balance—plush enough for all-day touring yet capable enough to handle serious off-road impacts.
With a commanding 220mm of ground clearance, almost no obstacle is too great. The seat height is set at an accessible 830mm, and a practical 13-liter fuel tank ensures your journey isn't cut short. While its 170 kg kerb weight reflects its added features and larger engine, it translates into a newfound stability at speed, making the XPulse 210 a truly versatile companion for any tarmac or terrain you dare to explore.
