The authorized distributor of NIU scooters in Nepal i.e Eco Infinity has included a new product in its lineup. NIU UQI GT is the newest model in the electric segment to grace us with its minimalistic design but interestingly abundant futuristic features. This segment shares its style similarities with the NIU UQIM model but differs in terms of power, and features. The NIU UQI GT is a breeze to ride and commute on. The ergonomics make it feel like riding a bike with the stability of a scooter.

When it comes to the design of the NIU UQI GT it is as simple as it can get; flaunting a very minimal but interestingly sporty design. NIU UQI GT encapsulated the NIU’s 360- degree lighting system. It also has an automatic light-sensitive LED headlamp with a circular LED DRL. Another cool feature is that it gets a LED indicator with an auto-off feature. 

At the back side, it gets a 270-degree semi-surrounding LED tail light. NIU UQI GT comes with short and comfortable handlebars which also include a smart LCD dashboard at the center. C|oming to the seating area of the scooter has split seats and a comfortably bigger seat portion for the rider. A grab rail support has also been included for the pillion rider at the back.

Talking about the weight of the scooter it comfortably weighs 75kg which is not that heavy and has the capacity to load up to 227kg. Lightweight but efficient sums up NIU UQI GT.

This scooter also has several clever features. The scooter's alert system is very smart as well. The rider can precisely detect any unauthorized movement of their vehicle thanks to the six-axis motion sensor, which detects the acceleration of the vehicle and GPS placement. The rider's phone will receive the alerts right away. Viewing the vehicle's location in real-time is also made possible by the GPS and GLONASS satellite positioning.

The NIU app on a smartphone enables pairing of the NIU UQI GT. The app shows detailed vehicle services including estimated range and battery life left, GPS location, security alert, previous itineraries, and riding data. The software also lets users control their vehicles and their own confidential information.

NIU UQI GT Motor and Battery

A 1200W Bosch motor and a 48V31 Ah 4th Gen NIU lithium-ion battery power the NIU UQi GT. The scooter has an NIU self-adaptive motor and a FOC vector controller, which ensures power and smoothness. The scooter's top speed with two riding modes is only 45 kmph. The scooter has a range of 70 to 80 kilometers. There is no mention of a fast-charging method, and the charging duration can take up to seven hours. Additionally, the scooter has a cruise control option.

NIU UQI GT Suspension, Brakes and Tyres

Dual disc brakes and a combi braking system are included in the NIU UQI GT (CBS). Reducing stopping distance and guaranteeing a secure brake at high speeds, the CBS will distribute braking force between the front and rear brake discs. The scooter also has clever regenerative braking technology to recycle battery energy, extending battery life and range.

The scooter has 14-inch tubeless tires on it. The front tire is 90/90-14 while the rear is 110/80-14 in size. With 180mm of ground clearance, this scooter should have little trouble navigating a variety of road conditions.
