Vehicle Description
Taking the racing era to off-roading, Yamaha has introduced a new bike Yamaha WR 155R with the engine of R15 providing enough power to conquer any terrain. The off-road bike has a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 16.5 BHP and 14.3 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox making it smoother to ride.
Design and Features
The overall design of the WR 155R has been inspired by the WRC bikes. The sleek design is well enhanced by the minimal body panels and lightweight cradle chassis frame. Along with this, the spoked rims are lightweight, and the flat seat is meant for getting good riding balance on the off-road trails. As the Yamaha WR 155R is an entry-level rally bike, it gets fewer features as well. Also, its digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, and dual-disc brakes are a few of the major features of the bike. Its sleek and light body lets the rider easily navigate this bike anywhere on the off-road trails.
Engine and Performance
With a 155cc liquid-cooled engine, the bike provides reliable and efficient power on any terrain. It provides a max power of 12.3 KW@10000 rpm and peak torque of 14.3Nm@6500 rpm. Also, its VVA tech is seen on the R15 V4 sports bike in Nepal and it is widely appreciated for its efficient yet powerful tuning. Along with this, the Yamaha WR 155R gets adjustable USD front suspensions with dampeners.
Pricing and Launching
Yamaha launched its Yamaha WR 155R at the NADA Auto Show 2024 at the price of Rs.7,49,900. Even though it has fewer features according to its price range, its 155cc engine provides more power and performance than that of other 155cc dirt bikes.
